Chimney Liner Installation

Chimney Liner Installation

The chimney liner is the most critical safety component in your flue system — it contains combustion gases, protects surrounding framing from heat, and provides the correctly sized draft pathway your appliance needs to operate efficiently. Cracked clay tile liners, oversized flues on newer high-efficiency appliances, and the addition of a wood stove insert are all common reasons Charlotte homeowners need a new chimney liner. Robert's Chimney Service installs flexible stainless steel liner systems sized and rated for wood, gas, and oil appliances.

Our installation process begins with a full flue measurement and video inspection to confirm the correct liner diameter and length. We then pull a continuous, corrugated 316L or 304 stainless liner down through the existing flue, connect it to your appliance with a properly sealed adapter plate, and install an insulation wrap (where required by manufacturer and code) to maintain draft temperatures. The top of the liner is secured with a locking band and topped with a correctly sized chimney cap to prevent rain and animal intrusion.

A properly installed liner dramatically reduces the risk of chimney fire, carbon monoxide intrusion, and premature appliance failure. It also typically improves draft, meaning your fireplace or insert draws better and smokes less. We serve Charlotte and surrounding Mecklenburg County communities seven days a week.
